Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Cybersecurity Level Two Analyst to enhance and maintain the security posture of the company. You will support the Cyber Defense Organization by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating threats to protect sensitive data.

The role involves monitoring alerts, coordinating incident response, and performing root cause analysis while collaborating with teams to address vulnerabilities and improve defenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 5 years of hands-on cybersecurity or IT security experience.
• Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CEH preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools and monitoring systems.
• Analyze and triage security incidents to determine severity and potential impact.
• Assist in coordinating incident response activities including containment and recovery.
• Perform root cause analysis of security events to improve detection and prevention.
• Review threat intelligence to understand emerging threats and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with teams to scope systems with identified vulnerabilities promptly.
• Contain and remove indicators of attack and compromise found during threat hunting.
• Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts.
• Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends for management review.
