Vertiv in Mexicali is looking for a Customs Operations Coordinator to supervise and coordinate import and export activities while ensuring compliance with customs regulations. Candidates must hold a university degree preferably in management or engineering and have at least one year of related experience.

The role involves working with customs brokers, managing inventory systems, and ensuring adherence to regulations like Non-Tariff Regulations. Proficiency in English is essential, and candidates should be organized and ready to work under pressure.

Formación

  • One year of experience in customs operations.
  • Experience in managing Annex 24 inventory control systems.
  • Fluent in English.

Responsabilidades

  • Coordinate and supervise import and export operations ensuring compliance.
  • Maintain coordination with Customs Brokers for timely clearances.
  • Administer inventory control according to Annex 24 requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal areas for proper execution and traceability.
  • Ensure correct application of customs regimes.
  • Monitor compliance with Non-Tariff Regulations applicable to IMMEX operations.
  • Supervise preparation and transmission of customs declarations.
  • Ensure integration of foreign trade compliance files.
  • Provide customs support during extended hours as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Coordinate and supervise import and export operations, ensuring compliance with current customs regulations and the company’s internal procedures.
  • Maintain constant coordination with Customs Brokers to ensure timely clearances, addressing inspections, amendments, operational errors, and government requirements.
  • Administer and monitor proper inventory control in accordance with Annex 24 requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal areas such as logistics, planning, production, procurement, engineering, and Compliance to ensure proper execution and traceability of IMMEX operations.
  • Ensure the correct application of customs regimes (temporary imports, virtual operations, returns, and changes of regime), verifying that transactions are executed within authorized terms and conditions.
  • Monitor compliance with Non‑Tariff Regulations and Restrictions applicable to IMMEX operations (NOMs, prior permits, automatic notices, quotas, certifications, among others).
  • Supervise the proper preparation, validation, and transmission of customs declarations, ensuring consistency of tariff, tax, and identifier information.
  • Ensure the integration and retention of foreign trade compliance files in accordance with current regulations.
  • Coordinate customs support during extended hours, second shifts, and/or weekends, as required by operational needs.
Qualifications
  • University Degree – Management or Engineering school preferably.
  • One year of experience.
  • Experience in managing Annex 24 inventory control systems.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluent English.
  • Well organized and able to work under pressure.
  • Drive and self‑motivation; after hours and weekend working might be required.
  • Available to travel within the assigned territory.
