Job summary

PPG is seeking a Data Management professional in Mexico to collect and report data supporting daily operations, strategic planning, and performance improvements. The role involves building master data records, validating data, and collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT to verify data requirements.

Responsibilities include data cleansing, ensuring data integrity, and identifying enhancements to modeling techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of experience in data management or related area.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their practical data-analysis applications.

Job description

As Data Management collect and report management data to support decisions on daily operations, strategic planning and performance issues and improvements. Use data to obtain quantifiable economic benefit to accrue market share, revenue or cost savings (internal monetization). Collate, models, interprets and analyzes data; explain variances and trends. Identify and documents enhancements to modeling techniques. Responsibilities typically include: Work under close management and receive detailed instruction, guidance and direction on all assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop master data records in Oracle R12 and related business systems.
• Review data requests for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure data integrity.
• Resolve data issues, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
• Support customer and organizational master data processes.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT teams to gather and verify data requirements.
• Build data cleansing and standardization activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• One year of experience in data management, operations, customer service, or a related area.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools and their practical application in data analysis, process improvement, or operational efficiency.
