Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Mexico is seeking a data-centric Cost Engineering Analyst to join our global team. You will manage master data for cost engineering, drive data collection and validation of labor rates, energy costs, taxes, and manufacturing processes, and help deliver accurate cost estimates.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply advanced Excel analyses and AI tools like Copilot, and contribute to continuous improvement of costing methodologies in a multinational

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive industry experience, preferably in cost engineering or related fields.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, dashboards, and automation.
• Knowledge of Generative AI technologies and adoption of Copilot in business applications.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management in a global environment.

Your Role

• Manage and maintain cost engineering master data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and availability for global costing activities.


• Lead data collection, transformation, and validation processes related to labor rates, energy costs, taxes, manufacturing processes, and other cost drivers.


• Develop, update, test, and deploy costing tools that support cost engineers in generating accurate purchase part cost estimates.


• Identify opportunities to improve cost engineering processes, methodologies, and data management practices, driving continuous improvement initiatives.


• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to gather requirements, support tool adoption, and deliver efficient data-driven solutions.

Your Profile

• Degrees in Data Analytics, Data Science, Operations Engineering, or Supply Chain Engineering may also be considered when combined with relevant automotive industry experience.


• 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in cost engineering, manufacturing engineering, product development, industrial engineering, or related fields.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a global environment.


• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, complex formulas, dashboards, and automation capabilities.


• Knowledge of Generative AI technologies and familiarity with Microsoft Copilot, including adoption strategies and business applications.


• Excellent English communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to drive collaboration across teams.
