Job summary

West Modular is seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to generate accurate quantity takeoffs using Revit, coordinate with the design team to ensure correct quantities, and prepare budgets for construction projects.

You will review plans in Bluebeam, identify inconsistencies, work with procurement to define material costs and delivery timelines, document databases for prices and suppliers, and ensure budgets comply with US/Mexico regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, or related areas within the construction industry.
• Intermediate English to read specifications and plans.
• Knowledge of BIM tools for interdisciplinary coordination.

Education:

• Architect or Civil Engineer.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years in cost estimation, budgeting, or related areas within the construction industry.
• Previous experience in residential, commercial, and/or multifamily projects.
• Knowledge of BIM tools for interdisciplinary coordination.
• Intermediate English (to read specifications and plans).

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Revit for generating material takeoffs and extracting quantities.
• Advanced in Excel for data analysis and budget preparation.
• Experience with Bluebeam for plan review and quantity takeoffs.

Construction Knowledge:

• Experience working with construction materials.
• Practical knowledge of construction processes and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with construction codes and regulations (United States/Mexico).

Analytical Skills:

• Preparation of unit price analysis (UP).
• Interpretation of architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) drawings.
