Flex is seeking a Director Finance based in Guadalajara North to lead a team of financial professionals, ensuring accurate data, compliance, and robust reporting. Reporting to the Sr Director Finance, the role focuses on developing systems, policies, and processes across the business unit to drive value and compliance.

The ideal candidate will hold a Finance/Accounting degree with MBA and professional certifications, with strong leadership and analytical skills, and experience in benchmarking

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience.
• MBA is preferred for this leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Manage quarterly financial reporting package for leadership review.
• Establish operational objectives and assignments.
• Develop and establish financial reporting requirements.
• Support external auditors in quarterly and year-end statements.
• Ensure monthly informative account analyses and reconciliations.
• Coach and mentor financial professionals in the organization.
• Benchmark current systems and controls to enhance value.
• Implement HR strategies to recruit and retain a qualified workforce.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Director Finance located in Guadalajara North. Reporting to Sr Director Finance. As a Director Finance Responsible for managing the activities of a team of financial professionals in a business unit and ensuring the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of financial data as well as developing, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies in order to ensure accurate data that is in compliance with corporate and legislative requirements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage preparation of quarterly financial reporting package for leadership review.
• Establish operational objectives and assignments.
• Develop and establish financial reporting requirements.
• Support external auditors in their examination of quarterly and year‑end financial statements.
• Ensure monthly informative account analysis and reconciliations are performed.
• Coach and mentor financial professionals in organization.
• Be abreast of industry trends and apply to business model as appropriate.
• Analyze market practice to benchmark current systems and controls to verify systems and process integrity in order to enhance the Company’s value.
• Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience and training.

• Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is preferred
• Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
• Demonstrates expert operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
• Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
• Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites.
• Develops plans for structuring and implementing major initiatives.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified General Accountant (CGA) or a American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification preferred
