Flextronics - The Flex Company in Guadalajara, North Campus, is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our finance team. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting records, reviewing P&L postings, and assisting with forecasting and budgeting to drive business decisions.

The ideal candidate holds a BA/BS, has experience in a similar role, speaks advanced English, and may have CPA/CMA/CA certification.

• Experience in a similar accounting position.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Professional certification (CPA, CFP, CMA, APICS, CA or CGA) preferred.
• Data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of financial statements.
• Experience in sales and warehouse conciliation.

Responsabilidades

• Perform periodic review of P&L and postings per policy.
• Compare Actual vs Forecast/Quote and adjust variances in books.
• Collect business reasons for variances and report.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger to identify variances.
• Review accounts periodically to identify risks and ensure mitigation.
• Ensure book close and reporting activities are timely and accurate.
• Work with Operations to prepare Forecast/Budget for related accounts.
• Collaborate with relevant teams for regulatory and reporting requirements.

Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Cost Accountant located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, Cost Accountant role involves in charge of preparing and maintaining accounting records and researching and interpreting accounting records to give advice or prepare statements.

What a typical day looks like:

• Perform periodic review of Profit and Loss (P&L) account to ensure that all the postings are done as per the defined Policy, Process and Procedures.
• Compare the Actual with Forecast / Quote and ensure that the variances are properly researched and required adjustment postings are done in the books.
• Collect the business reasons for the remaining variances and report appropriately.
• Reconcile all the scoped Balance sheet accounts with sub ledger/manual schedule to identify the variance, if any and ensure that those variances are properly dealt in the books of accounts.
• Review the accounts on periodic basis to identify any potential risk and ensure that the same is mitigated properly.
• Ensure that all the book close related /reporting activities are properly planned and executed on timely basis with utmost accuracy.
• Work with relevant teams to prepare the Forecast / Budget for the related accounts.
• Work along with Operations team to improve the business / operational metrics.
• Be familiar with relevant Accounting, regulatory and reporting requirements in the Controllers Handbook and RCTS.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team (required):

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in similar position.
• Advanced English.
• A professional certification is preferred - A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), America Production Inventory Control Society (APICS), Chartered Accountant (CA), or a Certified General Accountant (CGA).
• Data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of financial statements.
• Experience in sales and warehouse conciliation.
