Vistance Networks is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support its CALA region. Based in Mexico City or nearby, the role focuses on commercial contracts, compliance, and governance, with a strong emphasis on risk management and ethical practices.

You will partner with business teams across Latin America, draft and negotiate agreements, advise on regulatory matters, and help shape contracting policies while liaising with outside counsel.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Law Degree required.
• Qualified Mexico lawyer with 5–10 years PQE.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Experience in law firms and in-house teams.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Vistance Networks is looking to add a Corporate Counsel to our CALA legal team. This role can ideally be based in Tijuana, Mexico. although other locations in Mexico, including Mexico City, will be taken into consideration.

We are currently recruiting for a qualified attorney to support Vistance Networks’ business in the Latin American region. The Attorney role will be under the direction of Vistance Networks Managing Counsel and will provide legal counsel, advice and guidance for the Company’s operations in the region. The role will support legal matters arising across the region, including commercial, legal compliance, encompassing anticorruption, trade and other applicable laws, labour and employment, corporate secretarial, real estate, procurement and other general legal matters.

How You'll Help Us Connect the World

Under the direction of Vistance Networks’ Managing Counsel, this position will provide legal counsel, advice and guidance for Vistance Networks’ commercial operations. A key function of this role is to assist in developing policies, procedures and standard contract templates designed to ensure sound contracting practices and commercial activity consistent with Vistance Networks’ overall business objectives, and to assist in ensuring that these templates, policies and procedures are communicated effectively throughout the Company through training and other methods.

• Act as a business partner, advising and collaborating with business teams and support functions on a range of issues, including commercial, compliance, employment, real estate and corporate matters.
• Coordinate with other corporate functions to ensure a consistent and risk-based approach is implemented across relevant areas.
• Advise key stakeholders on contracting with customers, suppliers and other third parties, including drafting, review and analysis of contractual terms.
• Provide support to the Human Resources department with respect to matters arising in the region.
• Develop strategies for contracting with customers, suppliers and other third parties that maximise benefits and minimise risk.
• Support entity management across Latin America.

In this role, you will negotiate and draft contracts, including purchase agreements, services agreements and licensing agreements, that promote business objectives. We will look to you to advise internal business clients on risks and partner with the business to provide alternative solutions to meet Company goals. Teamwork and communication are key, as you will work cross-functionally with colleagues in our legal department and the business.

Required Qualifications for Consideration

• Bachelor’s Law Degree.
• Qualified lawyer in Mexico with 5-10 years post-qualification experience.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, including reading, writing and speaking, is essential.
• Experience in law firms and in-house legal departments.
• Strong team player with a collegiate approach, ready to assist other legal colleagues and business areas.
• High level of integrity, trust and ethical conduct.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently on competing priorities with limited supervision.
• Ability to work effectively with and manage outside legal counsel.
• Proven ability to manage contract negotiations with multiple stakeholders.
