Clarios is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to lead and manage all legal matters across Mexico and Central America, advising senior leadership on corporate, commercial, regulatory issues, and risk management.

The role requires 10–18 years of experience, a Master’s degree, fluent English and Spanish (Portuguese preferred), and the ability to supervise external counsel and drive continuous improvement in legal operations. Travel may be involved to support regional governance.

• Attorney licensed in Mexico; 10–18 years of experience, including multinational experience.
• Master’s degree or legal specialization is required.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; Portuguese preferred.
• Exceptional contract negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Strong judgment and strategic thinking under pressure.
• Proficiency with MS Office and emerging Legal Operations/AI tools.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage cross-functional initiatives.

• Promote legal, compliance, antitrust, and risk management best practices.
• Provide training and implement continuous improvement within legal operations.

Role Summary

Leads and manages all legal matters across Mexico and Central America, serving as a strategic advisor to senior leadership. Provides preventive legal counsel, manages commercial and corporate matters, and mitigates risk across diverse areas including civil, criminal, labor, environmental, and regulatory law. Ensures legal compliance and operational integrity throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a business partner to leadership, offering counsel on corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts and agreements.
• Develop strategies to prevent and manage litigation across all legal areas.
