Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to lead lean initiatives, drive operational excellence, and mentor teams across manufacturing functions. You will oversee Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, and 5S deployment while advancing process capability and standard work practices.

You will train process owners in lean tools, develop performance metrics, and push cost productivity improvements through cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decision making.

Formación

  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification required (Black Belt preferred).
  • Implementation and continuous improvement of Lean Manufacturing processes (minimum 7 years).
  • Development and execution of organization-wide work plans (minimum 7 years).
  • Identification, definition, and resolution of complex problems using applicable methodologies (minimum 7 years).
  • System and process-oriented auditing experience (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of process design techniques and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience in planning and ensuring execution of projects and processes across the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, and facilitation skills at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Experience in metal-mechanical manufacturing processes (transformer manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Continuous updating and development in process organization and improvement practices.

Responsabilidades

  • Creating and leading a continuous improvement committee and assisting in Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking.
  • Conducting Lean Six Sigma assessments and identifying performance gaps; deploying 5S culture.
  • Delivering cost productivity improvements by managing projects focused on cost reduction, sourcing, and VA/VE.
  • Providing technical support to operations in equipment, layout, tools, fixtures and machines for low-cost/high-quality products.
  • Recommending acquisition or disposal of machinery and coordinating with Engineering to modify/relocate machinery to improve efficiency.

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and establishing the lean manufacturing principles that will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. This individual will oversee Kaizen events, continuous improvement plans, project proposals, and operational efficiency goals. This role will provide mentoring, training, and coaching for improvement activities to support the goals and objectives of the company.

Cultivating site culture by developing awareness and expertise of Lean manufacturing concepts and tools at all levels to achieve or exceed safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.

Training and coaching process owners in the use of Lean and statistical tools, approaches, and techniques to create process management and measurement systems and develop an operational excellence mindset at the department level.

Creating and leading a continuous improvement committee. Assisting in improvement activities including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.

Conducting Lean Six Sigma assessments and identifying performance gaps as well as deploying 5S culture. Implementing tools such as: visual factory, value stream mapping, standard work, work instructions, process capability, pareto analysis, SMED, and training best practices.

Delivering cost productivity improvements by managing projects focused on cost reduction, sourcing, and VA/VE.

Providing technical support to operations in the areas of equipment, layout, tools, fixtures and machines to ensure low-cost/high-quality products and develop proposals to incorporate new technology where appropriate.

Recommending the acquisition or disposal of machinery or equipment in accordance with current and projected production requirements as well as coordinating with Engineering to modify or relocate machinery or equipment to improve production efficiency.
