Fostr Talent seeks an experienced Controller to lead month-end close for a portfolio of client entities and manage an offshore accounting team. You will own the close calendar, approve entries, and drive GAAP-compliant multi-entity financial reporting in a remote setting across North American clients.

You will collaborate with the Managing Director, optimize processes with AI-enabled workflows, and ensure accurate forecasts. This is a direct-hire remote role supporting growth-minded companies.

Formación

• 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 1–2 years managing staff or reviewing work product.
• Full-cycle general ledger ownership through financial statement delivery.
• Remote or advisory experience supporting North American clients.
• Multi-entity or multi-client background (professional services, rollups, holding companies, agency models).
• Advanced QuickBooks Online and expert Excel (XLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliation modeling).
• Experience with Ramp or similar spend management systems.
• Hands-on experience automating workflows with AI tools.
• Nice to have: CPA, experience with digital marketing data stacks (Ringba, Call Grid, Everflow).

Responsabilidades

• Make final calls on accruals, revenue recognition, and intercompany transactions.
• Maintain consistent accounting standards across a multi-entity, multi-client portfolio.
• Directly manage offshore AP/AR and bookkeeping staff.
• Build clear workflows that reduce ambiguity and operational friction.
• Identify work beyond offshore capabilities and either reassign or execute it yourself.
• Partner with the Managing Director on client accounts.
• Jump on client calls when needed to translate business context into accounting workflows.
• Flag financial risks and process gaps before they become problems.
• Maintain weekly cash flow forecasts and reconciliation models.
• Keep vendor and customer master files clean and standardized.
• Use AI tools and automation to streamline close workflows.

About the Role

Our client is a boutique CFO Advisory firm supporting high-growth, entrepreneurial companies. They're hiring a Controller to run month-end close and manage their offshore accounting team across a portfolio of growing businesses.

This isn't a data-entry role. You'll make judgment calls on revenue recognition, accruals, and multi-entity accounting in real time. You'll own the close calendar, audit the offshore team's work, and handle the financial anomalies that pop up when clients scale fast.

Your job is to free up the Managing Director from accounting firefighting so they can focus on advisory work and growth.

Hours: 9AM-5PM EST

Compensation Range: USD $19-20/hour (40 hours per week)
