Pavago is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee month-end close, financial reporting, payroll, AP/AR, and compliance for a portfolio of U.S.-based clients. This hands-on, client-facing role requires strong U.S.

GAAP knowledge and the ability to manage multiple engagements across blue-collar service industries. The role offers remote work from LATAM, with hours 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST and compensation ranging from $1,800 to $4,000 USD per month, with higher potential for exceptional

Formación

  • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience.

Responsabilidades

  • Own month-end close across multiple U.S.-based client accounts.

  • Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Communicate with U.S. business owners and manage client relationships.
  • Process and oversee payroll; work with Gusto/ADP/Paylocity.
  • Manage AP & expense workflows using Ramp and Bill.com.
  • Produce customized financial reports and dashboards; analyze margins and cash flow.
  • Identify process improvements and standardize accounting procedures.

Accounting Manager – U.S. GAAP & Multi-Client Accounting

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote
Location: LATAM
Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST
Compensation: $1,800–$4,000 USD/month (higher compensation available for exceptional candidates)

About the Role

We’re hiring an experienced Accounting Manager to manage accounting operations across a portfolio of U.S.-based small and mid-sized businesses.

You’ll join a rapidly growing accounting and advisory firm founded by professionals with backgrounds in private equity and investment banking. The firm helps business owners make better financial decisions through accurate accounting, insightful reporting, and strong financial operations.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role. You’ll own month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll, compliance, and financial analysis across multiple clients while communicating directly with U.S. business owners.

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience supporting construction, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, home services, and other blue-collar or field-service businesses.

What You’ll Own
Multi-Client Accounting & Month-End Close
  • Own month-end close across multiple U.S.-based client accounts
  • Prepare and review financial statements and supporting workpapers
  • Manage and oversee:
    • General Ledger
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review financial records for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and client-specific accounting requirements
Client Management & Communication
  • Serve as a trusted accounting partner to U.S. business owners
  • Manage multiple client relationships and priorities simultaneously
  • Explain financial results and accounting issues in clear, business-friendly language
  • Proactively communicate:
    • Financial trends
    • Reporting issues
    • Missing information
    • Upcoming deadlines
    • Recommended actions
  • Maintain a high standard of responsiveness and client service
Payroll, AP & Compliance
  • Process and oversee payroll and employee onboarding
  • Work with payroll platforms including:
    • Gusto
    • ADP
    • Paylocity
  • Manage AP and expense workflows using tools such as:
    • Ramp
    • Bill.com
  • Prepare and submit applicable U.S. state sales tax filings
  • Track accounting and compliance deadlines across client accounts
Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Build customized financial reports and dashboards for business owners
  • Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, cash flow, and operating performance
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, and areas requiring attention
  • Support:
    • Budgeting
    • Forecasting
    • Cash flow planning
  • Translate financial data into practical, actionable insights for clients
Process Improvement & Standardization
  • Document accounting procedures, workflows, and recurring processes
  • Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
  • Standardize accounting procedures across client engagements
  • Improve reporting accuracy, close efficiency, and workflow consistency
  • Build scalable processes as the client portfolio grows
Founder Collaboration & Ownership
  • Participate in daily check-ins with company leadership
  • Manage priorities independently
  • Proactively communicate progress, risks, and blockers
  • Take ownership of client deliverables from start to finish

What a Typical Day Looks Like

You may start by reviewing client accounts and month-end close priorities, completing reconciliations, and checking outstanding AP, AR, or payroll items.

Throughout the day, you’ll prepare financial statements, analyze business performance, respond to client questions, manage accounting deadlines, and coordinate directly with U.S. business owners.

You’ll also participate in leadership check-ins, identify process improvements, and make sure every client account remains accurate, organized, compliant, and on schedule.

In short: you own the accounting function across multiple clients while giving business owners the financial clarity they need to run their companies effectively.
