Leggett Dynamics in Chihuahua, MX seeks a Branch/Plant Controller to lead the financial planning cycle, drive cost competitiveness, and oversee end-to-end accounting for a plant or group of plants.

You will manage the financial close, internal/external audits, and reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and tax requirements while developing the local finance team. A CMA/CPA and 10+ years in industrial manufacturing are preferred.

Formación

  • Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; CMA/CPA; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in an industrial manufacturing environment in Mexico, with at least 5 years of managerial experience.
  • Experience in financial close, internal controls, internal and external audit management, ad hoc analysis, reporting, GAAP/IFRS, taxation, treasury, working capital, costing and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people-development skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the financial planning cycle with inputs across revenue, materials, headcount, plant expenses, and working capital.
  • Drive cost competitiveness and branch/plant performance.
  • Oversee accounting and finance processes for a branch or multiple branches.
  • Take a lead role in financial close and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure local statutory reporting and tax compliance; uphold internal controls and audit readiness.
  • Serve as primary liaison with Corporate Accounting for reporting needs.
  • Develop, coach, and supervise the local accounting and finance team.

So, what will you be doing as a Branch/Plant Controller?
  • This role is the Leader in the financial planning cycle - providing various inputs and performing reviews in the areas of revenue, material, headcount, plant expenses, and working capital (following standard financial planning process flows).
  • Increase the cost competitiveness and overall Branch/Plant performance.
  • Leads the full scope of accounting and finance processes for a branch or collection of branches.
  • Leading role in the financial close and reconciliation process, accountable for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure that local statutory reporting and tax authority requirements are metEnsures that policy and procedures adhere to a system of internal controls and serves as the lead for internal and external audit requirements.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact with Corporate Accounting, addressing questions and reporting needs.
  • Leads, develops, and coaches local accounting and finance team.
To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need
  • Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Professional designation (CMA, CPA); MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in a industrial manufacturing environment in Mexico, with at least 5 years of managerial experience. Automotive experience preferred.
  • Experience in financial close, internal controls, internal and external audit management, ad hoc analysis, management reporting, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), taxation, treasury, working capital, payroll, cash flow management, costing and financial planning (forecasting, budget, long range planning).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and leadership abilities, employee development experience
