Leggett Dynamics is seeking a Branch/Plant Controller to lead the financial planning cycle and oversee accounting and finance for multiple locations in our industrial manufacturing environment in Mexico. You will drive cost competitiveness, manage financial close, and ensure statutory and audit compliance.

The role requires a post-secondary degree (CMA/CPA), 10+ years of experience in finance/accounting (5+ in management), and strong leadership with excellent communication.

Formación

  • Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Professional designation (CMA, CPA); MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in an industrial manufacturing environment in Mexico, with at least 5 years of managerial experience; Automotive experience preferred.
  • Experience in financial close, internal controls, internal and external audit management, ad hoc analysis, management reporting, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), taxation, treasury, working capital, payroll, cash flow management, costing and financial planning (forecasting, budget, long range planning).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and leadership abilities, employee development experience

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the financial planning cycle for the branch/plant, providing inputs and reviews for revenue, material, headcount, plant expenses, and working capital.
  • Increase cost competitiveness and overall branch/plant performance.
  • Lead full scope of accounting and finance processes for a branch or collection of branches.
  • Take a leading role in the financial close and reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure local statutory reporting and tax authority requirements are met; maintain internal controls and lead audits.
  • Serve as primary contact with Corporate Accounting for reporting needs.
  • Lead, develop, and coach local accounting and finance team.

So, what will you be doing as a Branch/Plant Controller?

  • This role is the Leader in the financial planning cycle - providing various inputs and performing reviews in the areas of revenue, material, headcount, plant expenses, and working capital (following standard financial planning process flows).
  • Increase the cost competitiveness and overall Branch/Plant performance.
  • Leads the full scope of accounting and finance processes for a branch or collection of branches.
  • Leading role in the financial close and reconciliation process, accountable for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure that local statutory reporting and tax authority requirements are metEnsures that policy and procedures adhere to a system of internal controls and serves as the lead for internal and external audit requirements.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact with Corporate Accounting, addressing questions and reporting needs.
  • Leads, develops, and coaches local accounting and finance team.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Professional designation (CMA, CPA); MBA preferred.
