Leggett & Platt Incorporated is seeking a Branch/Plant Controller to lead the financial planning cycle and manage all accounting and finance processes for the automotive business units. The role focuses on cost competitiveness, close, and internal controls across multiple branches.

The successful candidate will have a senior accounting background, CPA/CMA designation, and extensive experience in manufacturing finance in Mexico, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the financial planning cycle for a branch or plant, providing inputs and performing reviews on revenue, material costs, headcount, plant expenses and working capital.
• Improve cost competitiveness and overall branch/plant performance.
• Oversee accounting and finance processes for the branch or collection of branches.
• Lead the financial close and reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure local statutory reporting and tax requirements are met; maintain internal controls and support audits.
• Serve as primary contact with Corporate Accounting for reporting needs.
• Lead, develop, and coach local accounting and finance teams.

We, at Leggett & Platt Incorporated, are searching for a Controller within our Financeteam to help support our Automotivebusiness. So, what will you be doing as a Branch/Plant Controller?

• This role is the Leader in the financial planning cycle - providing various inputs and performing reviews in the areas of revenue, material, headcount, plant expenses, and working capital (following standard financial planning process flows).
• Increase the cost competitiveness and overall Branch/Plant performance.
• Leads the full scope of accounting and finance processes for a branch or collection of branches.
• Leading role in the financial close and reconciliation process, accountable for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure that local statutory reporting and tax authority requirements are metEnsures that policy and procedures adhere to a system of internal controls and serves as the lead for internal and external audit requirements.
• Serves as a primary point of contact with Corporate Accounting, addressing questions and reporting needs.
• Leads, develops, and coaches local accounting and finance team.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Accounting, Finance, Business or related; Professional designation (CMA, CPA); MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of finance and accounting experience in a industrial manufacturing environment in Mexico, with at least 5 years of managerial experience. Automotive experience preferred.
• Experience in financial close, internal controls, internal and external audit management, ad hoc analysis, management reporting, accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), taxation, treasury, working capital, payroll, cash flow management, costing and financial planning (forecasting, budget, long range planning).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and leadership abilities, employee development experience
