Cognizant Consulting in Mexico is seeking a Consulting Manager - IT Governance to establish and improve governance frameworks, policies, standards, and decision processes that help Digital teams deliver value while managing risk. You will work with the IT Governance / Enterprise Governance team and collaborate with client stakeholders.

The role focuses on governance framework maintenance, adoption training, AI governance, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement, with a hybrid work model

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in governance, PMO, enterprise architecture, or related fields.
• Experience supporting governance frameworks and policy mgmt.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional governance reviews.
• Strong written and verbal communication; translate governance to processes.

About the role

As a Consulting Manager - IT Governance, you will make an impact by establishing, operationalizing, and continuously improving governance frameworks, policies, standards, decision management processes, and governance oversight practices that enable our client's Digital teams to deliver value while maintaining alignment, accountability, and responsible risk management. You will be a valued member of the IT Governance / Enterprise Governance team and work collaboratively with the Manager of Enterprise Governance, Digital leaders, the Portfolio and Program Management Organization, the Governance Tool Lead, and clients.

In this role, you will:

• Governance Framework & Policy Management (40%) — Maintain governance frameworks, policies, standards, and governance artifacts. Coordinate governance reviews, approvals, publication, and communications. Maintain governance repositories and inventories. Facilitate governance forums, review boards, and decision‑making bodies. Manage governance decision logs and action follow‑up activities. Develop governance playbooks, templates, and operating procedures. Monitor governance maturity and adoption across Digital, support all delivery methodologies through practical governance processes, and monitor policy and standard lifecycle compliance and review effectiveness.
• Governance Adoption, Training & Continuous Improvement (25%) — Develop governance onboarding materials and training content. Support stakeholder awareness and governance adoption initiatives. Conduct governance workshops and awareness sessions. Gather stakeholder feedback and continuously improve governance processes. Drive simplification initiatives that improve usability without reducing accountability. Develop and maintain governance intake, review, approval, and escalation workflows.
• AI & Emerging Technology Governance (25%) — Coordinate intake and governance review processes for AI and emerging technology initiatives. Facilitate governance reviews and stakeholder participation. Maintain governance decisions, review records, inventories, and approval documentation. Support emerging technology governance reviews. Monitor adherence to governance requirements, approval conditions, and decision frameworks for approved initiatives. Develop governance reporting and decision support materials related to AI and emerging technology initiatives.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Governance Coordination (10%) — Build partnerships across the PMO and Digital stakeholders. Coordinate governance activities across multiple stakeholders and time zones. Support Enterprise Governance reporting and governance leadership reviews.

What you must have to be considered

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with 5+ years of experience in governance, PMO, enterprise architecture, business operations, digital transformation, portfolio governance, or related disciplines.
• Experience supporting governance frameworks, policy management, standards management, or technology governance processes.
• Experience facilitating cross‑functional stakeholder discussions and governance reviews.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate governance requirements into operational processes and documentation.
• Understanding of Agile and traditional delivery methodologies.

These will help you succeed

• Manufacturing or global enterprise experience.
• AI governance experience.
• ITIL, COBIT, PMP, PSM, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or similar governance tools.
