Job summary

Cognizant Consulting is seeking a Consulting Manager - Business Analyst / Scrum Master to drive discovery, requirements, and agile delivery for GMSx Manufacturing Workstream initiatives. You will collaborate with manufacturing SMEs, product owners, and clients to translate operations into clear user stories and prioritized backlogs.

In this hybrid role, you will lead agile ceremonies, support future-state workflows for Golden Batch and Connected Worker/OEE, and help manage dependencies, risks,

Qualifications

• Experience as Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Product Analyst, or similar role in pharmaceutical manufacturing or GMP-regulated life-sciences settings.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, batch execution, shop-floor workflows, and the interaction between Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Digital/IT.
• Hands-on agile delivery experience, including backlog management, user-story development, facilitation, and team-level delivery reporting.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements, electronic records/data integrity considerations, and validation or computerized-system implementation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and document business-process discovery with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and digital stakeholders; translate needs into user stories and backlogs.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives with product owners.
• Support design and validation of future-state workflows for Golden Batch and Connected Worker/OEE use cases.
• Identify dependencies, issues, risks; maintain delivery tracking; escalate blockers and support testing, training, and site deployments.
• Contribute to PAT evaluation through current-state assessment, use-case definition, stakeholder interviews, and benefits analysis.

About the role

As a Consulting Manager - Business Analyst / Scrum Master, you will make an impact by driving discovery, requirements definition, and agile delivery for GMSx Manufacturing Workstream initiatives, blending strong business-analysis capability with hands-on Scrum Master delivery support. You will be a valued member of the GMSx Manufacturing Workstream team and work collaboratively with manufacturing subject-matter experts, product owners, Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD), and implementation partners, and clients.

In this role, you will

• Lead and document business-process discovery with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and digital stakeholders, translating operational needs into clear user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and prioritized backlogs.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives, and partner with product owners to prioritize work based on manufacturing value, feasibility, risk, and release readiness.
• Support the design and validation of future-state workflows for Golden Batch and Connected Worker/OEE use cases.
• Identify dependencies, issues, decisions, and risks; maintain transparent delivery tracking, **escalate blockers** promptly, and support testing preparation, business-user engagement, training/readiness planning, and site deployment activities.
• Contribute to PAT evaluation through current-state assessment, use-case definition, stakeholder interviews, requirements capture, and benefit/risk analysis.

What you must have to be considered

• Experience as a Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Product Analyst, or similar role in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a GMP-regulated life-sciences setting.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, batch execution, shop-floor workflows, and the interaction between Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Digital/IT.
• Demonstrated experience eliciting and documenting requirements for manufacturing digital solutions.
• Hands-on agile delivery experience, including backlog management, user-story development, facilitation, and team-level delivery reporting.
• Familiarity with GMP requirements, electronic records/data integrity considerations, and validation or computerized-system implementation practices, alongside excellent workshop facilitation, stakeholder-management, documentation, and communication skills.

These will help you succeed

• Experience with MES/eBR, Golden Batch, OEE, connected worker, industrial IoT, process data historians, manufacturing analytics, or digital work instructions.
• Exposure to PAT concepts, process monitoring, manufacturing data science, or advanced process control.
• Scrum Master, Product Owner, Business Analysis, or agile-delivery certification.
• Experience supporting manufacturing site pilots, rollouts, or change adoption.
