Caterpillar in Mexico is seeking a Component Design Engineer - Large Engine to concept, develop, and design complex engine components within the cylinder head, engine block, and housing team. You will partner with global teams to release robust components for diesel, natural gas, and alternative-fuel engines.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a related accredited technical curriculum.
• Advanced English-speaking level is required.

Responsabilidades

• Design core engine components (heads, blocks, housings) as part of a global team.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, marketing, and engineering to meet requirements.
• Perform root-cause analysis and structured problem solving for manufacturing and product issues.
• Evaluate product design, reliability, durability, and program requirements.
• Apply NPI processes, conduct FMEAs, and formulate validation plans.
• Coordinate supplier changes and new technologies within NTI/NPI/CPI/NSI programs.
• Communicate results to customers, suppliers and stakeholders; lead supplier collaboration.
