Job summary

Caterpillar Torreón, Plant 1 seeks an engineer to design, develop, build, and implement new components, products, or technologies. You will research materials, coordinate prototypes, and support supplier development, while documenting requirements and conducting buy-build analysis.

The role requires a degree in engineering, plus manufacturing/product engineering experience and English at Pre-Advanced level or higher. Expect ~10% travel and on-site duties in Torreón.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or related)
• Previous experience in manufacturing industries and/or product engineering
• English level: Pre-Advanced or higher

Responsibilities

• Researching new materials and coordinating prototype testing and analysis
• Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and performance
• Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents
• Participating in buy-build analysis for product components
• Supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports
