Copeland is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing for Mechanical Components and Direct Materials tied to the Controls & Solutions unit. The role focuses on supplier development, capacity planning, and trade working capital initiatives, with a strong emphasis on communication and stakeholder management.

Formación

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a Procurement function or related experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • A strategic-orientated individual that achieves timely results.
  • Ability to review processes and provide feedback on how to improve the processes.
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets and charts.

  • Establish agreements with suppliers.
  • Perform electronic sourcing bid events.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality to improve supplier performance (PPM).
  • Effectively communicate, lead meetings, make presentations, and use tact and professionalism at all times by using core competencies.

This new business also has a solution portfolio that manages, monitors, and controls refrigeration units in the commercial setting, as well as software solutions that measure and monitor temperature conditions of refrigerated goods in transit, where there is a greater emphasis on energy management/sustainability solutions globally.

Description

As a Commodity Manager, you will develop and lead strategic sourcing for Mechanical Components, for Direct Materials primarily tied to our Controls & Solutions business unit. Strategies developed will support supply chain initiatives which include: supplier development, supplier capacity increases, cost containment, regionalization, trade working capital improvement, timely delivery, and quality. Strategies will need to be communicated clearly to large groups.

Schedule

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a Procurement function or related experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • A strategic-orientated individual that achieves timely results.
  • Ability to review processes and provide feedback on how to improve the processes.
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets and charts.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Masters' Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in a Procurement function or related experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Commodity Management.
  • Developing & Sourcing suppliers in Mechanical Components, familiarity with stamping & machining manufacturing processes.
  • Prior experience managing projects.
  • Technically proficient to read blueprints.
Travel Requirements

Ability to travel up to 25%.
