Descripción del empleo

This role partners with the Mexico Commercial Leadership Team to improve financial performance, strengthen commercial governance, and turn data-driven insights into decisions that accelerate sustainable growth.

As Commercial Finance Manager, you will be accountable for providing strategic financial performance analysis and business partner support to the Commercial Team, including Sales Leadership, Customer Marketing, and Revenue Growth Management (RGM), as well as other relevant functions in Mexico. You will help drive a performance culture across the business and strengthen commercial governance.

You will be an integral member of the Mexico Finance team, supporting and challenging business decisions that drive superior performance. Through strong business partnering and financial stewardship, you will help shape the legacy of the Bacardi business in Mexico.

The role is based in Tultitlán, Mexico City, with significant interaction with local teams and the LAC Regional Finance team. You will be expected to understand the business from the bottom up, making time in trade with the sales team critical to success. Some travel will be required, primarily within the Mexico market.

Key Responsibilities – With our Consumer at the Heart, your key focus will be:

  • Act as the financial co-pilot to the Mexico Sales Directors, leading budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and risks and opportunities management for the Mexico domestic business.
  • Own the monthly commercial finance reporting and forecasting process, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent reporting of sales, GTN, gross margin, and commercial investment by customer, channel, and brand. Drive forecast accuracy through robust analysis, constructive challenge, and close partnership with the Commercial organisation.
  • Provide timely and actionable performance analysis on volume, Net Sales Value, and Gross Profit, including the key drivers behind performance such as promotional activity, customer and brand mix, and ROI of GTN investments.
  • Support and challenge commercial teams in managing pricing, discounts, and trade spend opportunities and effectiveness, including spend approvals and rebate management.
  • Lead the commercial financial budgeting and planning process, ensuring pricing, discounts, and trade spend are accurately reflected and executed according to plan.
  • Identify, evaluate, and communicate risks and opportunities to the business promptly
  • Challenge the status quo and continuously simplify planning, forecasting, reporting, rebate management, performance measurement, and the use of supporting systems and tools, so Finance can focus more time on value-added business partnering.
  • Ensure adequate controls across GTN, with strong stewardship and compliance. Ensure internal and external audits are fully supported and that related action plans are addressed, including SOX requirements.
  • Build and foster solid business partnering relationships with internal and external stakeholders

CREATING A WINNING TEAM

  • Build a sense of community across Region and Country Finance teams – drive best practice sharing and adoption across the region by actively engaging in cross Business Unit Projects and initiatives
  • Motivate, coach, and develop the team to ensure the market is consistently challenging the status quo to simplify ways of working and focus time on driving business growth
  • Coordinate the Help Sell functions (Finance, RGM, Supply Chain, Commercial Ops, Category) to create an efficient business performance management framework for the Commercial teams and the Mexico Business Unit Director.
