ESAB Corporation in Hermosillo, Sonora, seeks an experienced machinist to plan assignments, lay out work, set up and operate manual, CNC and computerized machine shop equipment.

You will read blueprints and process sheets, inspect tolerances, and communicate with engineers to understand part assemblies. The role may lead teams or act as SME, requiring 5+ years of experience.

Formación

• Plans assignments, layouts, set up and operation for manual, NC and CNC equipment.
• Reads blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks.
• Checks machining against specified tolerances and identifies minor malfunctions.
• Contributes to development of concepts and techniques; may act independently or lead a team.

Job Description:
Work includes assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment. Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions. May communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly. Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances. May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions. Extensive knowledge in specialized function. Contributes to the development of concepts and techniques. Assignments are complex and require judgement and initiative. May act independently to determine methods and procedures for new assignments. May be a team leader or considered a subject matter expert for their work area. Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
