Job summary

Souriau-Sunbank Connection Technologies in Tijuana, Mexico, is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to generate 3D/2D geometries and NC programs for lathes and mills, in line with blueprints. You will select cutting tools, calculate speeds and feeds, and prepare manufacturing dossiers.

You will use Mastercam for NC programming, run first articles for buy-off, and contribute to cycle-time reductions through continuous improvement of machining processes.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or technical diploma preferred.
• More than 5 years of experience in NC programming or manufacturing.
• Computer usage: Advanced.

Responsibilities

• Development of 3D and 2D geometries according to blueprint.
• Development of NC Programs for lathe and mills.
• Definition of Cutting Tools and geometries (including modeling of tools holders, inserts, drills, etc.).
• NC Equipment utilization.
• Administration and control of NC Programs using DNC system.
• Comply with QMS and Trade Compliance for technical data; keep records of changes and revisions, traceability.
• Creation of manufacturing instructions / Dossier.
• Use of Mastercam for NC programming.
• Provide guidance and training to operations personnel.
• Run first parts following NC program for buy off.
• Cycle time definition for new parts.
• Cycle time optimization for existing parts.
• Continuous improvement on machining operations.

Job Summary

The CNC Programmer will generate 3D and 2D geometries in order to create CN Program capable to produce parts according to blueprint requirement. Cycle time optimization to existing parts, cutting tools selection, speeds and feeds calculation, manufacturing dossier package generation including setup cards, NC program and work instructions.
