Cummins Inc. in Mexico City seeks a maintenance-focused professional to service and maintain manufacturing equipment, read drawings, and follow safety protocols. You will operate CNC and other tool room machines, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and participate in TPM activities to improve quality, efficiency and safety.

The role emphasizes adherence to HSE standards, teamwork, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
• Licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Stop work and immediately report any major injury hazards.
• Report any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard.
• Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures and regulations.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Promote interdependence by looking out for one another.
• Correct hazards within your control and capabilities.
• Recognize how your work may impact the environment and work to minimize the negative impact.
• Engage in HSE Training.
• Support equipment uptime and downtime failure analysis.
• Perform work in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and specifications using various tools, measuring and testing instruments.
• Follow all process documentation and quality procedures.
• Raise issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
• Perform quality inspections.
• Run all tool room equipment including CNC machines, lathes, grinders, milling machines, drill presses and shapers.
• Use measuring devices, layout work and set up of tool room machines to build or fabricate details and assemble as needed.
• Repair and maintain manufacturing equipment.
• Perform and document preventive, emergency, corrective and predictive maintenance activities.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
• Identify and reduce manufacturing constraints.
• Schedule maintenance activities around production requirements.
• Solve problems and improve processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Teamwork: Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.
• Complete training and personal development in line with business requirements.
• Participate actively with local TPM teams to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
