Role Summary:

The Cloud Architect designs and guides the implementation of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions. This role bridges business needs with technical architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, compliance requirements, and cloud best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design cloud-native and hybrid architectures for scalable and resilient systems.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight across cloud initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and governance standards.
• Evaluate and recommend approved HSBC cloud services, tools, and patterns to optimize performance and cost.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, regulatory and security teams to ensure architectural consistency.
• Contribute to cloud migration strategies and modernization efforts.
• Develop reference architectures and reusable design patterns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, or application design.
• Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, identity, and automation in cloud environments.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
