Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Assistant at the Arkansas Pulmonary Clinic. The role covers patient preparation, assisting physicians with procedures and minor surgeries, and performing diagnostic tests in the clinic.

You will maintain equipment, coordinate with hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs and other physician offices, and support staff to maintain smooth patient flow. Lab duties include proper collection and processing of blood samples to ensure accurate

Formación

• CPR certification required.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent if working in the lab.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare patients for procedures and assist the physician.
• Assist with procedures and minor surgeries.
• Perform diagnostic tests and provide patient education.
• Maintain clinic equipment and supplies.
• Liaise with hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs and other physician offices.
• Handle blood collection and processing when lab duties are involved.
• Support other medical staff to maintain efficient patient flow.

The role includes maintaining equipment and acting as a liaison between the physician and outside agencies, such as hospitals, nursing homes, DME companies, pharmacies, HMOs, and other physician's offices, as well as with the patient. The Medical Assistant supports other medical staff members as necessary to maintain efficient patient flow. When lab duties are involved, the Medical Assistant is responsible for the proper collection and processing of blood samples to ensure accurate analysis and promote safe handling.
