American International Group, Inc. (AIG) in Mexico City seeks a LAC Claims Governance, Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager to lead governance and compliance strategy for Latin America & Caribbean claims.

The role oversees ORM/ERM alignment, internal audits, and regulatory liaison, driving improvements across the global QA program. The successful candidate will bring deep claims governance experience, fluency in Spanish and English, and ability to operate in a multi-stakeholder environment

Formación

• Proven experience operating within a multi-channel complex organization.
• Ability to lead and influence at varying levels.
• Change agent with a strong business/process mindset.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese would be useful but not required.
• Extensive compliance, governance and/or audit background.
• Proven claims experience of 5+ years in claims handling.
• Strong understanding of insurance claim operations.
• Experience building governance frameworks within a complex organization.
• Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies.
• Commercial mindset with data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication skills including concise analysis and recommendations.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets to identify root causes and trends.
• Able to work independently and in a team, with meeting deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Drive a strong control framework and lead Claims Governance & Compliance for LAC Claims in collaboration with Technology, Operations and Claims Legal.
• Align and strengthen controls for LAC Claims to ensure consistency and implement best practices.
• Develop and maintain Global Claim policies, standards and controls and train staff on AIG policies.
• Manage and coordinate reviews of Global Claims Authorities and Major Loss Issuance Thresholds.
• Develop Claim Governance framework/guardrails to address risk from tech/process changes.
• Monitor the existing claims control structure and update controls based on audit feedback.
• Support QA audit schedule across LAC and timely completion of OFRs.
• Collaborate on developing Global Claim Control library/depository.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement in claims quality and governance compliance.
• Coordinate with functions on business improvement programs and remediation activities.
• Foster regulatory relationships and collaborate with AIG business groups for compliance.
• Track actions to completion and escalate overdue items when needed.
• Communicate with stakeholders to identify trends and align business.
• Represent Claims in enterprise forums and projects for operating excellence.
• Work with claim management on action plans to improve handling.
• Proactively contribute to QA, governance and training enhancements.
