Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Farmacéutico de Desarrollo de Nuevos Medicamentos (Preclínica) to join a fully remote research team in Mexico. Lead design/execution of preclinical studies and collaborate with medicinal chemists to advance novel therapeutics.

The role requires a PhD/ MSc with 5+ years in preclinical drug development, strong bioanalytical skills, and excellent scientific writing. Remote work from anywhere in Mexico is supported with strong career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or Master's in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in preclinical drug development in pharma/biotech.
Proven track record in designing/executing preclinical studies (ADME, toxicology, efficacy models).
Strong understanding of drug discovery processes and related therapeutic areas.
Expertise in bioanalytical techniques (LC-MS/MS) is highly desirable.
Excellent scientific writing and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Design and conduct in vitro and in vivo preclinical studies to evaluate new drug candidates.
Characterize pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of therapeutics.
Develop and optimize analytical methods for drug quantification and metabolites.
Collaborate with medicinal chemists to design/synthesize novel compounds.
Analyze data, prepare reports for internal review and regulatory submissions.
Stay current with literature and trends in drug discovery and development.
Contribute to IP development through patent filings and publications.
Work effectively within a virtual team across multiple projects.
Ensure all activities comply with ethical and regulatory standards.
