Viva seeks a Certifications & Authorities Engineer to modify and manage AOC/OpSpecs, secure charter flight permits, and support investigations with national and international Civil Aviation Authorities. The role requires aviation regulation knowledge and experience in operations engineering.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s in an aviation-related field, 3+ years in aviation law and NOMs, and familiarity with AFAC standards, MS Project, Power BI/Tableau, and MS Office.

The Certifications & Authorities Engineer will be responsible for modification and management of the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and Operations Specifications (OpSpecs) required to ensure that the airline’s operations remain compliant and current in accordance with applicable regulations. Management of inspections and certifications with national and international Civil Aviation Authorities. Management of accident and incident reports submitted by DAAIA and AFAC, as well as collaboration in related investigations. Coordination with Civil Aviation Authorities for the processing of permits required for charter operations. Coordination and follow-up with Civil Aviation Authorities regarding pilot deviation reports. Coordination and follow-up of ACMI operations.
Bachelor’s degree Airport Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience Aviation Legislation and NOMs, Operations Engineering, and Air Transport Operations.
Preferred experience in the airline industry, with knowledge of AFAC (Federal Civil Aviation Agency) regulations and aviation standards.
Knowledge of MS Project, Power BI/Tableau, Microsoft Office Suite, and Aviation Regulations.
Strong communication skills, Teamwork, internal and external customer service, assertiveness, and self-directed learning.
