Sensient Technologies Corporation is seeking a dynamic procurement Category Manager to lead global strategies for food ingredients and select indirect spending.

You will partner with R&D, Quality, Operations, Finance and other teams, run RFPs and negotiations, and drive cost, quality, service, and supply improvements.

Formación

• 3+ years of procurement category management experience, with strategic sourcing.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and drive insights.
• Professional-level English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Track record of annual savings and cost optimization.
• Excellent organizational and stakeholder leadership abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; supply chain or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAP or JD Edwards.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute category strategies for food ingredients and indirect spend.

• Analyze market trends, benchmarks, and cost drivers to minimize total cost of ownership.
• Manage a strategic sourcing process from sourcing to performance evaluation.
• Build long-term relationships with suppliers to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
• Use SRM techniques to maximize value through supplier partnerships.
• Lead multi-level negotiations guiding internal stakeholders through legal and SLAs.

Sensient is seeking a dynamic procurement professional to help lead our direct food ingredient and packaging categories globally. This Category Manager will play a key role in shaping and executing global category management strategies that align with Sensient’s long-term business objectives. Your expertise will drive performance, foster supplier collaboration, and enhance the overall value we deliver to our customers.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for food ingredients and select indirect spending.
• This role will partner closely with R&D, Quality, Operations, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to support business growth and operational strategy.
• This role will lead RFPs, RFQs, and competitive bidding, supplier selection, and contract negotiations to achieve cost, quality, service, and supply objectives.
• Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and cost drivers to achieve the lowest Total Cost of Ownership.
• Manage a strategic sourcing process to efficiently handle category needs, from sourcing to performance evaluation.
• Build and maintain long-term, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
• Use Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) techniques to maximize value through supplier partnerships.
• Lead multi-level negotiations with suppliers, guiding internal stakeholders through legal, commercial, and service level agreements.

What you’ll bring:

• 3+ years of procurement category management experience that includes strategic sourcing, preferably within the food and beverage industry, but not required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and draw insights from multiple sources of data
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English at a professional business level.
• A track record of successful savings year over year.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills, coupled with ability to quickly build long-term collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience in SAP or JD Edwards preferred.
