Dematic in Mexico is seeking an IT Procurement professional responsible for managing sub-categories and suppliers, conducting sourcing activities, running Rfxs, and overseeing indirect IT categories.

You will negotiate with suppliers on delivery, quality and cost, develop the supplier base to meet KPIs, and participate in regional and global indirect procurement initiatives. A Bachelor’s degree and several years in IT procurement are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Supply Chain or Business preferred.
• At least 5 years of IT procurement experience.
• Experience with indirect category management in IT and software.
• Contract management knowledge and risk mitigation.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to suppliers or Dematic locations.

Responsible for managing sub-categories and suppliers which entails conducting sourcing activities, running Rfx’s and managing suppliers for Indirect IT Categories (enterprise and business apps, SaaS/IaaS, network infrastructure, hardware and IT professional services)

We offer

• Support the development and implementation of the category strategy and align the supplier portfolio together with the Category Lead.
• Conduct market analyses and Rfx’s in line with business requirements as identified with the stakeholder.
• Conduct negotiations with suppliers in terms of delivery, quality and price. Manage and develop the supply base, to achieve our targets in delivery, quality, cost and innovation.
• Maintain and develop relationships with strategic suppliers including contract management (NDA’s, Long Term- / Supply Contracts etc).
• Monitor and manage influences on performance and achievements on the Procurement’s KPIs, in line with local requirements and rules.
• Support in regional and global Indirect Procurement initiatives.

Tasks and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree ideally in IT, Supply Chain Management, or Business;
• Preferred 5 years of experience at a minimum in IT Procurement.
• Indirect category management experience - strong understanding of IT and software business and procurement concepts, including software licensing, cloud architecture, IT labor SOWs, and software-as-a-service
• Contract management skills; including a working understanding of contractual terms and conditions and risk mitigation
• Knowledge and strong utilization of Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with peers and management
• Must be willing to travel to suppliers and/or other Dematic locations as needed up to 10%.
