Job summary

Flex is seeking a Cost Accountant in Guadalajara, North Site to manage accounting records, analyze variances, and support budgeting processes. You will report to the Controller Assistant and work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with policy.

The role requires a finance degree, strong English, and advanced Excel. Experience in cost accounting and familiarity with P&L and balance sheets are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in financial administration, accounting, or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in a cost accounting role.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with P&L and balance sheet accounts.
• Knowledge of SOX and US GAAP auditing.
• Professional certification preferred: CPA, CMA, CA, or similar.
• Impacts short-term operational success of the function.
• Creates functional processes or technologies.
• Executes and provides input to functional strategic plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic review of P&L to ensure postings follow policy.
• Compare Actual vs Forecast and adjust variances.
• Collect business reasons for variances and report.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledger.
• Review accounts to identify potential risks and mitigate.
• Ensure timely book close and reporting activities.
• Assist with Forecast/Budget for related accounts.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve metrics.
• Follow Controllers Handbook and RCTS regulatory guidelines.
