The Home Depot in Saltillo, Mexico is seeking a Head Cashier to deliver fast, friendly service at the front end and oversee cashier operations. You will handle checkout and returns, monitor Self-Checkout, and help customers with product knowledge and selling opportunities.

The role involves supporting team members, expediting price checks and POS transactions, and assisting in training new cashiers. The ideal candidate has 1+ years of cashier experience and a strong commitment to customer

Formación

• 1+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation and knowledge of POS transactions.
• Willingness to assist and train fellow Front End Associates.

Responsabilidades

• Process checkout and returns accurately and quickly.
• Monitor the Self-Checkout area and assist customers as needed.
• Seek product knowledge to advise customers and identify selling opportunities.
• Follow policies to minimize shrink and ensure safe service.
• Head Cashier guides and supports cashiers, expediting price checks and POS approvals.
• Escalate customer issues and participate in coaching and training of new cashiers.

Position Purpose:
Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. They process Checkout and/or Return transactions, as well as monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area. They proactively seek product/project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to ensure that shrink is minimized. A Head Cashier will position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates by participating in the training of new Cashiers and utilizing all available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Cashier experience.
