MKS Instruments in Nogales, Sonora is seeking a Calibration Technician to calibrate instruments and equipment, document results, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

You will inspect, test, and troubleshoot devices, manage calibration schedules, maintain tools, and provide guidance across departments while adhering to safety and quality policies. This role offers hands-on calibration work in a manufacturing setting, requiring a technical background and attention to detail.

Formación

  • Associate degree or military technical training required.
  • 0-1 year of related experience.
  • Experience testing digital and/or analog systems.
  • Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments.

Responsabilidades

  • Calibrate instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Document calibration results with audit-ready records of all calibration activities.
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot instrumentation to correct deviations from standard performance.
  • Create and manage calibration schedules to ensure equipment is calibrated at required intervals.
  • Ensure calibration activities meet regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
  • Keep calibration tools and equipment in good working condition and maintained.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to other departments regarding calibration processes and best practices.

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

This position reports to Production Supervisor Conduct calibration of instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and specifications

  • Document calibration results, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all calibration activities for audit and compliance purposes
  • Regularly inspect, test, and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment to detect and correct any deviations from standard performance
  • Create and manage calibration schedules to ensure all equipment is calibrated at required intervals, preventing equipment downtime and maintaining operational efficiency
  • Ensure all calibration activities meet regulatory requirements and internal quality standards, adhering to industry best practices and company policies
  • Keep calibration tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring they are properly stored, cleaned, and maintained
  • Offer technical support and guidance to other departments and personnel regarding calibration processes, procedures, and best practices
Required Skills:
  • Associate degree, military technical training or their equivalent vocational training is required
  • 0-1 year of related experience required
  • Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems
  • Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments
Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
