Ford Motor Company, part of Ford Mexico, seeks a CAE Engineer for the Underbody Systems team. The role focuses on structural simulation of suspension architectures and steering components, translating physical phenomena into accurate CAE models and guiding design improvements for robustness, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness.

You will perform strength and fatigue assessments, support DOE studies, and lead or assist cross-functional analyses while mentoring others and delivering clear

Formación

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace engineering required.
  • MS preferred for advanced roles and leadership.
  • Strong background in structural analysis and fatigue.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform system-level strength and fatigue assessments for suspension architectures and components.
  • Analyze steering components and full-system assemblies for durability.
  • Run large DOE CAE studies to optimize weight and cost.
  • Automate pre/post-processing with scripting (Python/TCL).
  • Collaborate with D&R and other teams to ensure vehicle requirements compliance.
  • Create CAE status reports and present findings to management.
  • Mentor staff and manage large-scale analyses as needed.
