Job summary

Bendix in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila is seeking an experienced engineer to improve the engineering design documentation process and ensure conformance. In addition to improving processes, this person will perform audits on all functions related to checking, including GD&T, BOM, data management, and compliance with internal standards.

The role includes mentoring designers, driving continuous improvement, and delivering training to raise engineering quality across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred or equivalent experience.
• ASME GD&T certification or proven GD&T proficiency.
• Minimum five years CAD design background with GD&T and fabrication standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert in design documentation processes, including CAD and GD&T.
• Perform audits of checking procedures for format, specification compliance and BOM.
• Create checklists and document auditing findings for corrections.
• Provide management reports on auditing findings and improvements.
• Improve engineering processes for downstream manufacturing and documentation.
• Mentor product designers and drawing checkers on applying standards.
