New company in SOUTH EASTERN TIJUANA is seeking an Autonomous Production Unit (APU) Manager for Cable Assembly. You will lead a self-contained production unit, drive operational excellence, and ensure targets for output, quality and delivery are met while fostering continuous improvement.

You will manage a team of operators and technicians, develop training plans, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to support growth and product transfers in a high-volume manufacturing

Formación

• Fluent in English (required).
• Minimum 8 years of operations experience in cable assembly manufacturing across automotive, CC&CE, industrial, or medical sectors.
• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams including production, engineering, quality, and materials control.
• Willing to work overtime to meet production deadlines and business needs.
• Strong knowledge of cable assembly processes (cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, molding, testing).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily cable assembly production, ensuring output, quality, and delivery goals.
• Lead and develop operators, technicians, and support staff; manage training, performance reviews, and workforce planning.
• Track KPIs such as productivity, scrap rates, on-time delivery, and safety incidents; report results to senior management.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support product transfers and business growth.

Autonomous Production Unit manager (APU) Manager – Cable Assembly is essentially the leader of a self-contained production unit dedicated to cable assembly.

Products: Harnesses, wire sets, connectors, and complex cable assemblies for industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial.

This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, ensuring production targets are met, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement

. The ideal candidate will bring strong cable assembly technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a proven track record in high-volume, quality-driven manufacturing environments.

Operational Leadership: Oversee daily cable assembly production, ensuring adherence to output, quality, and delivery goals.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Fluent in English
2. Minimum 8 years of operations experience in cable assembly manufacturing, with exposure to one or more of the following industries: Automotive, Consumer & Commercial Electronics (CC&CE), Industrial, or Medical.
3. Education: BS degree in Engineering,
4. Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams

6. Adaptable and flexible - comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment, and willing to work overtime as required to meet production deadlines and business needs..
7. Proven leadership experience managing production teams in high-volume operations.
