Job summary

Hussmann busca un profesional de Compras para ejecutar actividades basadas en MRP, gestionar órdenes de compra y colaborar con Planning, Producción, Ingeniería, Calidad y Almacén para evitar desabastos y mantener inventarios adecuados.

La persona trabajará con proveedores para asegurar entregas puntuales, analizarceptos de MRP y mantener parámetros de compra actualizados, incluyendo lead times y cantidades. Se valorará experiencia en ERP/MRP y mejora continua en la cadena de suministro.

Qualifications

• 1–3 años de experiencia en Purchasing, Procurement, Materials, Supply Chain o MRP en un entorno de manufactura.
• Experiencia trabajando con requerimientos de producción y planificación de materiales.
• Experiencia creando y dando seguimiento a órdenes de compra.
• Experiencia comunicándose y negociando con proveedores.
• Experiencia con sistemas ERP/MRP.

Responsibilities

• Revisar requerimientos MRP y convertir la demanda en órdenes de compra o liberaciones de proveedores.
• Crear, procesar y mantener órdenes de compra en el sistema ERP/MRP.
• Asegurar que las compras sigan los requerimientos de producción, tiempos de entrega y niveles de inventario.
• Monitorear órdenes de compra abiertas y dar seguimiento para entrega a tiempo.
• Identificar riesgos de desabastecimiento y comunicarlo a Planning, Producción y Supply Chain.
• Acelerar o reprogramar órdenes de compra ante cambios de demanda.

Resumen

This position executes purchasing activities based on MRP requirements, monitors purchase orders, follows up with suppliers, and works closely with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams to prevent material shortages and maintain appropriate inventory levels.

Responsabilidades

• Review MRP requirements and convert demand into purchase orders or supplier releases.


• Create, process, and maintain purchase orders in the ERP/MRP system.


• Ensure materials are purchased according to production requirements, lead times, inventory levels, and established purchasing parameters.


• Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.


• Identify potential material shortages and communicate risks to Planning, Production, and Supply Chain teams.


• Expedite or reschedule purchase orders based on changes in production demand.


• Analyze MRP exception messages and take appropriate purchasing actions.


• Maintain accurate purchasing parameters, including lead times, order quantities, delivery dates, and supplier information.


• Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, quality, responsiveness, and service.


• Work with suppliers to resolve delivery discrepancies, shortages, rejected materials, and other supply issues.


• Support inventory optimization initiatives and help reduce excess and obsolete inventory.


• Analyze demand, consumption, inventory, and open orders to support purchasing decisions.


• Coordinate with Production Planning to ensure material availability according to the production schedule.


• Work with Warehouse and Receiving teams to resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and received materials.


• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering regarding supplier-related issues, specifications, deviations, or material changes.


• Support cost reduction and supplier improvement initiatives.


• Maintain purchasing documentation and records in accordance with company procedures.


• Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and material transitions when required.


• Participate in continuous improvement activities related to purchasing, inventory, and material flow.


• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and established approval processes.
