Plexus Corp. in Mexico is seeking an entry-level procurement specialist trained to manage execution of purchasing for assigned goods and services. You will follow Purchasing SOPs and WI and ensure alignment with quality, delivery, and pricing expectations.

Responsibilities include tactical PO placement, rescheduling and issue resolution, minimizing inventory while maintaining production readiness, and supporting procurement automation to improve data integrity and efficiency.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree with 1+ years of related experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsabilidades

• Make tactical buying decisions: place, reschedule, cancel orders; resolve non-conformities.
• Minimize inventory while meeting production needs and escalate issues to avoid delays.
• Support procurement automation processes and data integrity in systems.

Purpose Statement:

This is an entry level role, where individuals will be trained to manage the procurement execution of assigned goods, commodities and/or services in accordance with the quality, delivery and pricing expectations as detailed in Purchasing SOP's and WI's.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Responsible for purchasing of materials in accordance with the guidelines set forth by Plexus management and the customer's contract in terms of AVL adherence, unit price, quality and delivery.
• Makes tactical buying decisions with respect to the placement and management of all purchase orders. This process encompasses order placement, rescheduling and cancellations, as well as timely resolution of non conforming material, goods in discrepancies and invoice queries.
• Minimize inventory while maintaining adequate material to meet production plans. Initiate appropriate corrective actions and escalation to avoid impacting the production schedule.
• Collaboratively manage established procurement automation processes which includes optimizing, troubleshooting, and ensuring data integrity within our automation systems to support efficient and accurate purchasing. Includes tactical decision-making of when to leverage automation vs request exceptions in overall execution.

Education/Experience Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 1 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Physical Requirements

• Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.

Travel Requirements

• Less than 40%
