MKS Inc. in Nogales, Sonora, is seeking a Purchaser to plan, schedule and monitor material movement through production cycles, evaluate vendor reliability, and consolidate contracts for cost-effective purchasing.

This role will develop new supply sources, maintain inventory, and collaborate with operations to ensure stock aligns with production output. The position reports to the Sr Purchasing Supervisor and operates in a professional office/manufacturing environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule and monitor material movement through the production cycle


• Evaluate vendor reliability and develop solutions in case of material shortages


• Monitor cost and consolidate contracts where required to create cost-effective purchasing models


• Develop new supply sources where required to keep operations stocked and able to generate the desired output


• Actively maintain inventory and collaborate with operations to ensure appropriate stock

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience


• CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred


• 2+ years of related experience

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time


• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand


• Must be able to exchange accurate information


• The ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)


• Operates in a professional office and/or manufacturing environment


• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery


• Noise level in the work environment is usually average
