MKS Inc. in Querétaro, Mexico is seeking an exceptional NPI Buyer to guide sourcing, planning and purchasing for new product development.

You will collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure cost-effective material procurement for development, prototype, and early production phases. The role requires a strong background in procurement and supply chain tools, fluent English and Spanish, and hands-on ERP/MRP experience (SAP/Oracle).

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in business/economics/supply chain/procurement or engineering
• 2+ years of procurement/supply chain/planning experience
• Background with purchasing and supply chain tools
• Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Office
• Fluency in English and Spanish

Responsabilidades

• Provide guidance for sourcing, planning, and purchasing decisions as part of a cross-functional team for new product development
• Coordinate with Design Engineering to acquire material cost-effectively for development, prototype, and early production
• Manage tactical purchasing activities: expediting material, past-due POs, open POs, PO confirmations, receiving, AP issues
• Support RFQs to suppliers for new products, analyze and negotiate quotations with NP I Project Manager
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and project reviews as a representative of NPI Material Specialist
• Assist with new supplier sourcing and integration within a broader sourcing strategy
• Recommend cost-saving proposals, alternative sources, and volume pricing
• Maintain purchasing data integrity in ERP systems
• Manage interface between Engineering and production ramp-up
• Manage project transition from development to production

Skills You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business/economics/supply chain/procurement or engineering with knowledge of Materials Management or Logistics and good written and oral communication skills
• 2+ years of experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/Planning
• A demonstrated background and proven experience with purchasing and supply chain tools
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in the use of ERP/MRP Systems, SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Office
• Advanced level ability in the use of Excel & PowerPoint
• A willingness and ability to influence and change the status quo
• Fluency in both English and Spanish languages
