Placements24 is seeking a highly specialized Ingeniero Estructural with a focus on bridge design and construction for a hybrid role in the Morelia, Michoacán region. You will design, analyze, and assess various bridge types, ensuring safety and compliance with Mexican and international standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a specialization in Bridge Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in bridge design and analysis.
• Proven expertise in structural design software: SAP2000, MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, ETABS.
• In-depth knowledge of bridge behavior, load transfer, and seismic design principles.
• Familiarity with Mexican bridge design codes (SCT) and international codes.
• Experience with bridge inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong report writing and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate remotely.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; PE registration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for various bridge types (highway, pedestrian, railway).
• Develop detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Utilize advanced finite element analysis (FEA) software for modeling and simulation.
• Conduct bridge condition assessments, load rating, and rehabilitation studies.
• Collaborate with geotechnical engineers for foundation design.
• Review shop drawings and construction submittals for design intent.
• Provide technical support to construction teams during erection.
• Stay updated with advancements in bridge engineering and materials.
• Ensure designs meet codes and project requirements (AASHTO, SCT).
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and client presentations.
• Participate in design reviews and QA processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices.
