Job summary
Clarios is seeking an experienced MBD/Target Link – BMS Engineer to develop and validate embedded software for automotive battery and energy-management applications. The role emphasizes Model-Based Development with MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE Target Link, and extensive BMS experience.
The engineer will create, test, and optimize control algorithms for SOC/SOH/SOP, voltage, temperature, and current monitoring, and will work on CAN/CAN FD communication and MIL/SIL/PIL/HIL testing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in automotive embedded software, BMS, controls, or Model-Based Development.
- Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
- Hands-on experience with dSPACE Target Link.
- Strong experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS) or automotive battery controls.
- Strong Embedded C/C programming skills.
- Experience with Model-Based Development (MBD).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Model-Based Design (MBD) models using MATLAB/Simulink and dSPACE Target Link.
- Develop production-ready Embedded C code using Target Link automatic code generation.
- Design and implement algorithms for Battery Management Systems (BMS).
- Develop BMS functions including SOC, SOH, SOP estimation; cell voltage monitoring and balancing.
- Support CAN/CAN FD communication and automotive diagnostic protocols.
- Perform MIL, SIL, PIL and HIL testing for BMS algorithms.
- Translate system and software requirements into Simulink/Target Link models.
- Maintain requirements traceability and technical documentation.
