Job summary

Lloyd’s Register is seeking a Billing Team Leader to manage a small Contract to Invoice team. Office presence required 5 days a week, overseeing in-service contract set-ups, service orders and closure requests.

You will drive accuracy, efficiency and timely processing while coordinating with Commercial, Service Delivery and Finance teams to ensure client contracts are billed correctly across countries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a team leader in contract administration, billing, service delivery, order management or operational support.
• Solid knowledge of contract-to-invoice processes, including billing, credit notes, service orders and contract management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Ability to manage priorities, deliver against SLAs/KPIs and support team performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small team of Contract to Invoice specialists, ensuring activities meet turnaround times and quality SLA/KPIs.
• Ensure the team sets up, amends and maintains In-Service contracts in ByD.
• Process Credit Notes in line with client contracts and regulations, with approvals where needed.
• Ensure invoicing is processed in accordance with client contracts and country requirements.
• Categorise and resolve pre-billing queries promptly to reduce backlogs.
• Perform root cause analysis on recurring pre-billing queries to identify systemic issues.
• Maintain alignment across countries by highlighting inconsistencies in processes or standards.
• Maintain documentation for non-standard or country-specific billing processes.
• Maintain Country Billing Bibles to support consistent processes.
• Suggest improvements and work with Global Process Owner on new implementations.
• Perform housekeeping tasks in ByD to keep data accurate.
• Maintain client data as necessary.
• Build relationships across departments and manage stakeholder escalations to resolution.
