We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our team and work on cloud-based applications for a global client. The role will involve developing Python-based backend services, working with AWS and MongoDB, and supporting Salesforce integrations and CI/CD processes.

The ideal candidate should have strong backend development experience with Python, hands-on AWS experience, and good knowledge of MongoDB. Experience with Salesforce deployments and CI/CD pipelines is also required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and applications using Python and AWS.


• Develop and enhance Python-based microservices that integrate with Salesforce and MongoDB.


• Build and maintain APIs and integration services for business applications.


• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments.


• Work with MongoDB to design schemas, write queries, create indexes, and improve database performance.


• Monitor applications and AWS resources and implement appropriate logging, alerting, and troubleshooting processes.


• Participate in code reviews and follow established coding and development standards.


• Develop unit, integration, and functional tests for backend services and deployment processes.


• Identify and resolve application, database, and infrastructure-related performance issues.


• Follow security best practices related to authentication, authorization, data protection, and AWS configuration.


• Work closely with architects, product owners, QA, and operations teams to deliver solutions.


• Support production releases and troubleshoot issues during deployment and post-production.


• Prepare technical documentation, deployment procedures, and runbooks.


• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Python backend development.


• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-based application development.


• Strong experience with MongoDB, including schema design, indexing, querying, and performance optimization.


• Experience with Salesforce CI/CD and deployment processes.


• Experience developing microservices and REST APIs.


• Good understanding of CI/CD, Git, version control, and automated deployments.


• Experience with unit and integration testing.


• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.


• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.


• Good understanding of cloud security and application security practices.

Preferred Skills

• FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.


• Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.


• Docker and Kubernetes.


• PyTest or similar testing frameworks.Experience with asset management or IT asset management is a plus.
