Backbase is seeking a Senior System Engineer with a strong focus on Azure to join our Platform team in a hybrid role based in Mexico City or Guadalajara. You will design, implement and operate Azure-based infrastructure for our hosted banking workloads.

You will drive reliability, security, cost-efficiency and automation, participate in on‑call rotations, and mentor peers while advancing cloud-native practices across the organization.

Formación

• At least 5 years of system engineering experience.
• Minimum 3 years of working with Azure cloud services.
• Proficient with Azure Databases (SQL), Azure Service Bus, Azure WAF and Azure FrontDoor.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Automation-first mindset with a track record of reducing manual toil.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure for hosted banking workloads.
• Guarantee availability and reliability of the managed hosting service.
• Implement cloud security, compliance, and disaster recovery practices.
• Ensure compliant, secure, and cost-efficient solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain uptime.
• Mentor peers and drive cloud-native improvements.
