Backbase in Mexico City seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to own production health, resolve escalations, and drive automation. Strong focus on Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and Kubernetes in a cloud-native stack. You’ll mentor peers and elevate AI-driven workflows to optimize incident triage and system reliability.

Expect on-call rotations, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on debugging of RESTful services and distributed systems across time zones. Fluency in English preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong Java ecosystem expertise (Java, Spring Boot).
• Experience with RESTful API design and microservices.
• Kubernetes familiarity and cloud-native environments.

Responsabilidades

• Own production health and resolve complex escalations.
• Lead AI-driven automation to optimize incident triage and workflows.
• Debug and optimize Java/Spring Boot code and REST APIs.
• Mentor peers and set engineering standards for reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support.
• Drive system improvements and refactoring initiatives.
