Job summary

Applaudo is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps & Platform Engineer to design and run secure Azure tenant platforms, using Terraform to build scalable IaC and manage CI/CD through Azure DevOps. You will implement landing zones, enforce governance, and lead automation efforts across cross-functional teams.

Strong English and experience with CAF are essential for collaboration with US stakeholders. Contractor role requires availability in CT time and remote work, aligning with complex cloud

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of hands-on DevOps and cloud experience.
• Experience designing Azure tenant platforms aligned with Microsoft CAF.
• IaC with Terraform expertise.
• Experience implementing Azure landing zones for migrations.
• Experience with Azure networking: hub-spoke, Firewall, VPN/ExpressRoute, private endpoints with Private DNS Zones, NSGs, and route tables.
• Terraform state management, imports, drift detection, and secret management with Azure Key Vault including rotation.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Knowledge of Azure identity and security: Managed Identities, OIDC, RBAC, and PIM.
• Hands-on with Azure compute services (AKS, Container Apps, App Service, Function Apps) with Key Vault and ACR.
• Experience implementing Azure Policy and governance via management group inheritance.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost.
• Strong English (B2+) for US stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure tenant platforms aligned with CAF standards.
• Build, deploy, and maintain Terraform IaC solutions.
• Implement Azure landing zones to support migrations.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, source control, and project workflows using Azure DevOps with security gates and image promotion.
• Review peers’ PRs and handle infra requests in a Kanban workflow.
• Automate resource provisioning, scaling, and infrastructure management processes.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Implement and manage Azure security controls, including IAM configurations.
• Enforce governance and policy compliance across Azure environments.
• Monitor infrastructure for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support to stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives around cloud governance and automation.
