Job summary

McLarens is seeking an Azure Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and operate a enterprise Azure cloud platform. You will treat the Azure platform as a product, delivering self-service capabilities and standardized cloud patterns to empower development, data, and business teams.

You will implement IaC using Bicep/ARM, Terraform, and GitOps practices, while ensuring governance, security, and regulatory compliance across the environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience administering and engineering Microsoft Azure environments.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise Azure platform services including Networking, IAM, Compute, Storage, Security controls, and Monitoring.
• Build and maintain Azure Landing Zones aligned to CAF and ALZ principles.
• Develop reusable platform services and reference architectures to accelerate delivery.
• Manage subscriptions, management groups, resource organization, and governance standards.
• Ensure platform availability, scalability, resilience, and performance across environments.
• Develop and maintain platform guardrails, subscription architectures, management group hierarchies, and standardized deployment patterns.
• Establish and enforce platform governance standards across all Azure environments.
