Job summary

Stellantis in Mexico City is seeking a Wiring Systems Engineer to design and validate wire harness schematics, size wires and fuses, and implement CAN network layouts for vehicle programs. You will manage data, support manufacturing facilities, and lead supplier systems engineering to meet Stellantis electrical specifications.

The role requires experience in wiring design and release, DFMEA and DVP&R, change management, BOM analysis, and strong communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechatronics, Electrical, Automotive or related.
• 5 years of experience in Automotive industry and product development.
• Experience in wiring design and release.
• Experience in DFMEA and DVP&R development and execution.
• Expertise in change management, vehicle specification and bill of materials analysis.
• Good communication skills both written and spoken.
• Good English language.
• Conflict management skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer wire harness schematics design and changes for a vehicle lifecycle.
• Determine wire harness architecture layout and CAN network layouts based on Stellantis specifications.
• Determine appropriate wire attributes for all wire harness circuits.
• Determine fuse size and types based on electrical characteristics for all components.
• Create wire harness complexity based on product planning information.
• Generate harness design optimization ideas (VAVE / VO).
• Design and validate electrical systems to Stellantis specs.
• Assist wiring systems team with harness developments.
• Ensure all design processes and specifications are followed.
• Support wire harness and electrical system troubleshooting at test facilities and dealerships.
